Hello,
I would like to inquire on the TSZ07 Reel-to-Reel tape drive device.
We have a prospect who would like to rackmount two units of this
TSZ07-AA into a cabinet-based Alphaserver 4100 which has one system drawer
and three Storagework shelves BA36R-RA.
From the SOC (Nov. 1996 Edition, p6.98), it mentions that the TSZ07-AA is
rackmountable.
My queries are :
1. Can the TSZ07-AA rackmountable inside the Alphaserver 4100 ?
2. What mounting kit is needed for the TSZ07-AA to be rackmounted inside
the Alphaserver 4100 ? (I notice a country kit is needed, but it
appears that no mounting kit is mentioned.)
Please advise.

The short answer is yes, Physically it will fit,BUT be careful about heat
loading and do not block air paths for the storageworks.
Also the 4100 cooling air flows back to front (really weird idea
someone had) ie the opposite way to the TSZ07. This could cause
recirculation of the cooling air.
2. What mounting kit is needed for the TSZ07-AA to be rackmounted inside
the Alphaserver 4100 ? (I notice a country kit is needed, but it
appears that no mounting kit is mentioned.)
The kit is included in the -AA
Please advise.
