    I didn't realize race car drivers made that kind of money. Of course,
    they risk their lives to do it.

    The bulk of that money is endorsement money. I saw those numbers on
    Good Morning America today. For instance, Arnie Palmer only made $100K
    actually playing golf last year. Nike is paying Air Jordan over $20
    mil/year.
283.7SCHOOL::RIEUSay Goodbye George!Mon Nov 09 1992 17:593
       I remember about 5 years ago Marvin Hagler topped the list in Sport
    magazine at about $15 mil.

    I moved the Air bashing over with the rest of the Air bashing in topic
    49. This topic is to discuss sports salaries. 49 is to discuss
    Jordan.

    Part of a player's status on the pro golf tour is his or
    her ranking on the money winning chart. I think Fred Couples
    is on top right now.

    Nah, that was Jason.

    Freddie was the guy with the wrinkly face and blades that stuck out of
    his fingers, he also was a self made eunuch.

    He musta had a rough time taking a leak, though.
