259.0. "Help with SI problem needed." by SA1794::GUSICJ (Referees whistle while they work..) Mon Apr 20 1992 14:23

Guys, I need some help here. I'm looking for anyone (else) that
gets SI either in the mail or from a newsstand. I'm specifically
looking for the the first issue in April which I believe would be April
    1 or 2.

Apparently, SI printed numerous issues without a feature piece on
the High School wrestler Cary Kolat. If you read the HS note, you
should know all about Kolat since I've been giving updates on him for
4 years (BTW, he recently won the National title at 140 lbs. while
wrestling 10 lbs. over his noraml weight). My issue does not contain the
article and I'd like to have a copy of the aritle or the magazine since
the kid is from my 'neck of the woods.'

The weird thing about this is that I'm sure some of you are saying
it might of been a regional release, but I talked to my father over the
weekend and he said that down there (Western Pa. and where Kolat is
from) some people got the SI with the article and some didn't. It was
very scattered. In fact, some local store owners ordered thousands of
magazines knowing that they would sell because the local kid was
featured, but when the issue arrived, the article was nowhere to be
found. Needless to say, more than a few have called and written
SI telling them to cancel their subscriptions.

So, since my SI did not contain the article, I was wondering if
those of you who also get SI could check to see if your copy does have
the article and let me know. Maybe we could work out a trade or maybe
someone could photocopy the article for me. Other than that, does anyone
have a number where SI can be reached? I checked the magazine and couldn't
find any numbers on their editorial page, but there must be a number
out there where one can complain.

Any help anyone can give me on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks, my mailstop is:

John Gusic (although I go by my middle name, Bill)
    		SPO Bld. 104/B

John, where do you live? Just curious as to the distribution of
this article. Seems there is no obvious reason why there is such
    a mixup in various regions.
