My own quesiton from some time back....

this problem has become very acute. I called WACOM wondering
about 'failure mechanisms' of the pen, and they basically said
the things should last forever. putting in new tips had
no effect on the problem. WACOM suggested I download the
latest version of their driver (from www.wacom.com), version
2.51 I think, but that had no effect.

I can point at (for example) the Apple pulldown icon in the
upper left, and when I press, the pulldown menu flashes on
and off. when I drag something, it gets dropped and then something
else gets picked up and dropped, etc. etc. Trying to
cut and paste text is REAL exciting.

I"m going to try my pen on some friend's tablets. And their
pen on mine. A new pen costs about $65.

I'm using the mouse for now.
