| I've found a pretty good solution for my house. My Dad nailed little
runner boards up the door frame so that I could slide a thin piece of
plywood in the slot between the inner door frame and the wood slats.
It's just tall enough so that she can't jump it, but I can step over
it. She seems to think that it's just another wall. She never sees me
take it down so she never scratches on it. She seems to know the
difference between a closed door that she wants openned immediately and
this method. I leave it up infront of my bedroom all the time and
she'll wait in front of it for me to step over but apparently has no
desire to fuss with it.
