Subj: Steel OS pool open for merge with PTB BL3 - wait on regular?

Hi,
I've been trying to figure out from the release engineering home page if I
need to wait to submit a regular srequest I did Friday, until the steel merge
is over. I just see a green dot by steelos and am not sure.

So, my first question is should a QAR fix submit srequested Friday afternoon
wait until this merge is done? If it matters, the srequest was
steelos-1054-amilicia.

My second question is should I have been able to figure this out from a web
page? If so, would you point me to it?

My third question is I'm also trying to figure out the procedure for submitting
that same fix to ptb and ptc. I'm trying to determine if I submit to ptb will
it get merged into ptc, or, do I need to submit to ptc? For both releases I'm
trying to figure out if I just do an srequest, or, if I ask somebody if they
want the fix first. For ptb Therese Morin is letting me know if I should
create the fix. I tried to figure out these answers from web pages. If I
should have found the answers will you please point me to the correct pages?

Thank-you.
Anne

If this is a non-merge srequest, you need to wait until the Steel BL6 /PTB BL3
merge is done. It's currently scheduled to finish this Thursday, 10/31.

As far as I know there isn't any merge status information on the
Release Engineering Web Page. During merges, John Flanagan sends
a daily merge / build status to all OSF developers.

I will send a message to OSF developers when the Steel pools are
open for general submits (scheduled for Friday 11/1).

Stay tuned :-)

I'm not sure about this one. I will forward this to Grant Van Dyck,
who is the Release Engineering Project Leader for PTC.

Unless this is a SS QAR I doubt that PTB will take it, but that's their call.
If it does go into ptb, then ptc will automatically pick it up when we
retarget to ptb.bl4 during the ptc.bl2 time frame.

If they don't, then submit an srequest to PTC.
