If it's not please let me know where I should ask this question. I have been trying to create a sandbox this morning using the command mksb -back v32fsupportos v32fsupportos This command was working last friday. Today I get the error : cannot find include file ../link/rc_files/shared.sharedsandbox >> FATAL ERROR in workon: >> No Access to Backing Tree Through link dir:/tmp_mnt/fsecret/share/secret/build/submits.dsk2/v32fsupportos/rc_files/../link Error parsing rc description file ./shared Error parsing rc description file ../link/rc_files/shared.sharedsandbox Error parsing rc description file ./shared >> FATAL ERROR in mksb: Cannot create set: v32fsupportos. Can any body tell me what has gone wrong. It could be that v32fsupportos is not mounted, however, on friday odemount -list also reported that v32fsupportos was not mounted. If that is the problem who should I speak to get it mounted. Next question, our product (the AltaVista firewall) replaces some kernel objects during its installation. The kernels we use now are based on Unix V3.2d. In order to support v3.2f, v3.2g and v4.0 in need to get the unix sources that were used to generate the released objects for each of these releases. Which backing trees should I use to get these sources. thanks in advance for any help or advice Ollie Leahy

Friedman Digital UNIX" To: buildhelp@zk3.dec.com, ollie@fws.ilo.dec.com CC: Ollie@fws.ilo.dec.com Subj: Re: Can't link to bakcing trees There was an automount/nfs problem with one of our servers; please retry. Note that odemount -list is irrellevant on an automount system which includes any production systems; it mounts as things are needed. Regarding your second question I'll reply to the version you sent to reng. -josh |
