Terry, I have an ODE answer and a process answer (or question):
First the process question:
The platinum release has finished, and so I should think that you
shouldn't be doing any modifications to the ptqa pool; any new work
should be done in a steel or ptaqa pool. The only exception I would
think would be for cleanup work related to specifically the pt product
and the qa activities which took place for that product.
I've copied the people who I think are responsible for the QA pools.
Now the ODE answers:
We don't just delete things or rename things in the pool. The
ODE interface provides ways to do what you want more formally
with proper controls and tracking.
If you have already bsubmitted to a pool, you can do this to remove the
old files from the pool:
bco files; bci -defunct files; bsubmit files (with outdate)
If you have not already bsubmitted, and work is just local to your own
sandbox (and of course the underlying rcs pool), you can just "outdate"
your work as follows:
bcs -u -o files

I originally bcreated, bco, bci ... a bunch of files into the ptqa pool. The
directory structure and naming conventions for these files has changed to the
point that I can not bcreate, bco, bci some new files ( naming conflicts)
Can you please delete everything in and below the directory:
/usr/sde/alpha/build/ptqa/src/test/cluster/auto
I am the only person working on these files.
Alternatively you could rename the auto directory auto.old or something?
