Subj: I can no longer access /usr/sde.

Hi,

Late last Friday afternoon my system crashed because we lost power to
our row of cubes. Since I rebooted the system I am unable to get /usr/sde
automounted on my system and therefore cannot access the ode tools or my
sandboxes. When I attempt to cd into /usr/sde I get a "permission violation"
even when I'm root. An ls -l shows the following for sde:

	lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 20 May 29 09:33 sde

The entry appears to be okay but as you can see there's no link to the
ode tools directory. My rc.config file has flambe as my tools server and I'm
on the blue-yellow-net. Do you have any ideas on what the problem might be or
what I should be looking for? Thanks.

Dennis, You need to get this filesystem mounted again....Since I do not know
the sequence to steps you have taken in the interim, take your localhost
into single user mode (shutdown -now ) and remove the sde directory, create the
sde directory and try the mount again. Please remember to not mix the
odemount and mount commands **they are not inter-changable**

Dennis,

I personally find automount a pain for this kind of thing. Since you know you
want to get /usr/sde from flambe, I'd suggest putting it in your fstab and get
automount out of the equation.
