2270.0. "Question concerning odemount" by AOSG::FILTER (Automatic Posting Software - mail to flume::puck) Thu May 09 1996 21:15

Subj: Question concerning odemount

I noticed that "odemount v32de1supportos.nightly"
did not also mount v32de1supportos.
Similarly for v32bsupportos.nightly.
Thus when doing a bsubmit you must remember to also
odemount the submit pool.

Is odemount of the nightly pool supposed to also mount the submit pool?
I'm assuming not, since currently it doesn't.

No need to reply unless mounting the nightly should also mount the submit pool.
I will just assume the answer is that currently it is working
as it was intended to work.

	Thanks,
	sergei

Yes, that's the intent. The only time you need the submit tree is if you
intend to submit. If you're just testing or building, it's an extraneous
mount.

The submit trees generally mount two or sometimes three trees, since most are
shared sandboxes that require the parent to be functional.
