Sorry, I have to adjust the following sweeping statement.

> Obviously a support pool does not need to be built unless
> a new bsubmit has been done.

This is wrong as stated, but has more than a smidgen of truth.
If files in an srequest "fall through" to the next support pool,
then there will be no bsubmit to the next support pool to trigger
a necessary build.
However, complete support pools such as v3.0 and v3.2 (?complete)
and v3.2c (?complete) to which files will never fall through to,
don't need to be built until a bsubmit has been done.

v3.0b needs to be built when a bsubmit occurs to v3.0 or v3.0b.
And similarly for other non-complete support pools.

Many thanks. I'm glad to know the builds are supposed to be happening,
and when they don't a gentle reminder is all that is needed
(not like the cannonball I lobbed this time :-).
Consider the rest of this note a message with gentle reminders.

> The schedule is posted in the rengweb home page for all of the builds.

I poked around quite a bit but could not find the *future* build schedule
for various pools anywhere under the rengweb home page.
I recall getting this kind of info in build mail, but I've been
taken off that mailing list (I thought all of its info would be
on the Web page). It would be real nice to have the build schedule
available within one or two depth levels from the rengweb home page.
I have entered that in the suggestion box on the rengweb home page.

I noticed that v32de2supportos hasn't been built for a week.
I understand there was testing etc happening, but to my knowledge
that is now done and the pool should be built nearly nightly (please),
starting right away.
From your mail I gather that the v32supportos and v32bsupportos
builds are ready or nearly so. Most excellent.
Since I have patches to get out, I am requesting that
v30supportos and v30bsupportos be built real soon.

	Thanks again for your reply,
	sergei

Sergei,

re: build schedule

Did you look on the rengweb front page and find an entry with
Specs in the title? In there sould be two text files with the
schedules for all of the support systems listed by build and
  by system.

Attached is the mail that I send a while ago about this.

re: I noticed that v32de2supportos hasn't been built for a week.

That's not quite true. It has tried to build and not all
of the parts needed for it to be successful have been in
  place.

NO nightly bacingtrees are updated if it's build fails.
  v32de2supportos needs a good v32de1supportos.nightly.
  v32de1supportos needs a good v32csupportos.nightly.
v32csupport and v32de2support builds Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
v32de1support builds Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Now with the above rules, let's review the last week of
  build attempts.

On Friday 26 Apr a submit was done that broke the
  v32csupportos build - no v32csupportos.nightly backingtree.
v32de1 and v32de2 fail as files needed from an up-to-date
  v32csupportos.nightly backingtree were not available.

On Monday 29 Apr a corrective submit was done to allow
v32csupport to build. It did and it updated it's nightly
  backingtree on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday 30 Apr v32de1supportos had it's needed
v32csupportos.nightly backingtree. That build ran and ran and
ran. It took from 7:00pm on Tuesday to 3:35pm on Wednesday
May 1. When the build was finished it updated it's nightly
  backingtree.

On Wednesday May 1 both v32csupport and v32de2support builds
  are running.

If v32de2support build runs without problems then by morning
of Thursday 2 May there will be an updated
  v32de2support.nightly backingtree.

re: From your mail I gather that the v32supportos and v32bsupportos
builds are ready or nearly so.

  v32supportos is done.

v32bsupportos was just started at 19:00. It won't be done until tomorrow
  morning at the earliest.

re: I am requesting that v30supportos and v30bsupportos be built real soon.

v30supportos is built on Thursdays and v30bsupportos are
built on Sundays. So tomorrow night v30supportos should build.

	Regards,
		James
