Hi,

I'm having trouble installing ODE3.0. I'm hoping you help.
I want to set up a system to that has ODE3.0 tools and
that can SUP files from the Open3d source poole at ZKO.

Do I need to install a kerberos slave on this system.
I have krb.conf set up to check kerberos.zk3.dec.com.

I followed the ODE Server installation but skipped the step for
installing Kerberos. "check_ode server" returned no errors.

When I do a kinit I get the error
kinit: Generic error (get_intkt)

Kerberos install guide says to get a "srvtab" file from the
kerberos master administrator. Do you know who this is?

Also, when I untared the ODE3.0 kit it created
/usr/sde/ode2.0 and /usr/sde/ode3.0 but none of the other files
in /usr/sde (doc, lib, man, tools, etc). I thought these
would be created when I did the server install but they were not.
Did I miss something?

Thanks,
Ed

1) rerun your kinit with the -d flag.

kinit -d

2) You do not need to install a kerberos slave.

3) You can run /usr/sde/ode3.0/install/set_default_tools
if you want links in /usr/sde. It will move any
old links which you can ignor the messaging.
For example:

mossey.zso.dec.com> set_default_tools
file: Cannot get file status on /usr/sde/tools.
linking /usr/sde/tools to /usr/sde/ode3.0/tools
file: Cannot get file status on /usr/sde/man.
linking /usr/sde/man to /usr/sde/ode3.0/man
file: Cannot get file status on /usr/sde/doc.
linking /usr/sde/doc to /usr/sde/ode3.0/doc
moving lib to lib.old
mv: rename /usr/sde/lib to /usr/sde/lib.old: No such file or directory
linking /usr/sde/lib to /usr/sde/ode3.0/lib
