Check your /etc/krb.conf and see if you can do an nslookup of any of the names
in there. You can try running the install script to make sure all is setup OK.
/usr/sde/ode3.0/install/ode install

| Hello,
|
| I can no longer do a kinit from zko.dec.com. What am I doing wrong? When I
| execute the kinit command I get:
|
| [giants.portante]> /usr/sde/ode3.0/tools/alpha_OSF1/bin/kinit Peter_Portante
| Kerberos Initialization for "Peter_Portante"
| kinit: Can't send request (send_to_kdc)
|
| What information should I look for to help find the problem?

ls -l /var/dss/kerberos/tkt
make sure this directory exists and is writeable.
Also, check /etc/krb.conf. The kerberos server may be unavailable due to
network, etc....

Note also that the ode install will take settings for the zko domain
from /usr/sde/lib/templates/zko.dec.com, which is a symlink to zk3.dec.com,
since Mark Glidden told me that zko's settings should all be the same
as zk3's for clock, krb servers, etc.

Hello,
I sent a message out earlier about problems issueing a kinit from
giants.zko.dec.com. I received a response from Tina Anderson asking me to
provide the output of "kinit -d" to odehelp. Anything else I should do?
-Peter
[giants.portante]> kinit -d Peter_Portante

Getting host entry for kerberos...Didn't get it.
