Subject: Problems with bsubmit from wasted

Grant,

I had to update some files in the ptx11 tree yesterday and
since we had (for some unknown reason) stopped sup'ing the
ptx11.nightly tree I had to do my work on a ZK machine.

I created a sandbox, did the usual bco, bci, srequest, etc. all on
wasted. Now I'm trying to submit from wasted and all I get
is the following:

kcs@wasted> bsubmit -all

Enter the defect number this submission applies to: ptx11-432-kcs

Please take appropriate steps and run bsubmit again.
- No work has been done for this submission.
- No files have been changed in any way.
- The files in this submission are not held.
- The use of the -resub option is not required and will not be recognized.

My sandbox is in /share/flume/usr/staff1/kcs/sb/ptx11/src on flume.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken, this could be a problem I've seen which can stem from having
more than one set or sandbox with the same name; once the file's
bco'd in one set, the 2nd one of the same name won't create the
required src/.BCSconfig entry which tracks file history. Check
the files .BCSset-* and .BCSconfig in your sandbox to confirm that
all files in your submit are listed; if they are not, some very
careful reconstructive surgery needs to be done - though you could
cut & paste from the 1st sandbox's .BCSconfig file - if you do this,
be sure to preserve the file format exactly:

./path/name,v<tab>version#

all sorted, no blank lines.

Note that the ptx11.nightly being a little out of date would have no
effect on your submit; anyway, the problem was fixed today (a BIND problem),
so perhaps the best plan is to do the submit from unx and wipe out
the wasted environment.
