Subj: question re: bsubmit.hold

I found an entry in the reference page pool's bsubmit.hold file that does
not make sense to me. The entry is as follows:

ronyon:devbld> more bsubmit.hold
: Joe_McMullen; Date: 6/30/95; Time: 13:43
./BASE/OSF/man2/mmap.2

Although this entry is in the bsubmit.hold file, I cannot find traces of
a failed submit. The log entry for mmap.2 is in the bsubmit.log file,
the correct version number is in the SNAPSHOT file, and the edit history
looks correct. I asked Joe McMullen to check his sandbox with "bstat
-nowall"; that command returns nothing.

My guess is that flume might have gone down at the end of Joe's submit
and the bsubmit process did not get to the point of removing the mmap.2
entry from the bsubmit.hold file. This is around the timeframe of when
flume was being upgraded to run Platinum-Lite and flume was up and down
frequently.

Question: Is there a proper way to clear this entry out of the
bsubmit.hold file, or do I just edit the file and remove it?

Yes, here's the proper way for you, as someone in the sadmin.acl file,
to remove the entry (or Joe can remove it himself), both are from a
sandbox backed to this pool.

for Joe: % sadmin -rm 13:43 -date 6/30/95

for you: % sadmin -user Joe_McMullen -rm 13:43 -date 6/30/95
