1645.0. "Help, can t check in due to lock conflicts..." by AOSG::FILTER (Automatic Posting Software - mail to flume::puck) Fri Jul 28 1995 14:24

Howdy:

Recently my Principal name was changed from Chris_Fillmore-Gillett to Chris_Gillett.
At the time, I had a plethora of files checked out by Chris_Fillmore-Gillett. After
a bunch of work by the ODE support folks (thanks! :-)) I was able to get back to
work as Chris_Gillett. Now I'm trying to check all those files into pre-BL8.

When I try to check in, I get the following:

gillett@hackomatic.zk3::/usr/staff/gillett/scatbox/ptos_pool/src/usr/ccs/bin/as> bci alphadcls.h

[ ./usr/ccs/bin/as/alphadcls.h ]
[ scanning for HISTORY messages ]
[ found <<<replace with log message ...>>> marker ]

Command? (type "help" for a list) [log]
Command? (type "help" for a list) [check-in]
ci error: revision 1.1.7.1 locked by Chris_Fillmore-Gillett
gillett@hackomatic.zk3::/usr/staff/gillett/scatbox/ptos_pool/src/usr/ccs/bin/as>

When I cat my BCSset file, I see:

gillett@hackomatic.zk3::/usr/staff/gillett/scatbox/ptos_pool/src> cat .BCSset-Chris_Gillett_ptos_pool
./usr/ccs/bin/as/Makefile
./usr/ccs/bin/as/alphadcls.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as0dcls.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as0main.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as0parse.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as0util.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as0vars.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as1dcls.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as1emit.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as1emit.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as1main.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as1parse.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/as1vars.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/asboth.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/asboth.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/evax_opcode.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/inst_info.c
./usr/ccs/bin/as/inst_info.h
./usr/ccs/bin/as/parsera.p
./usr/ccs/bin/as/parserrr.p
./usr/ccs/bin/cfe/asm_cia.c
./usr/ccs/bin/cfe/asm_cia.h
./usr/include/cmplrs/binasm.h
./usr/lib/makefiles/standard.mk
gillett@hackomatic.zk3::/usr/staff/gillett/scatbox/ptos_pool/src>

So I suspect that all these files are going to have similar problems when they are either
bci'd or bcs -u'd.

Please tell me how to proceed from here. I can't go back to Chris_Fillmore-Gillett, because
various ODE components do not like the hyphen.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

You are all set now. I've changed the locks on all these files to
be Chris_Gillett instead of Chris_Fillmore-Gillett. You can now bci and
bsubmit everything.

John
