Hello,

By looking at the build log and comparing the tools area of the failed
ptcde build with that of deltacde, I am able to tell that the tooltalk
failure was due to the newly introduced iconv* references in
libX11.so.  They are referenced from lcGenConv.c and the new file
lcDEConv.c in X11/src/xc/lib/.

To work around this, I made a submit yesterday that adds -liconv
to the Imakefile of the static binary that failed in tooltalk.
I was not able to make this before the 6 pm build. 

I also found that there are four other static utilities that build
against libX11.so in the CDE tree and which are failing for the same
reason.  These are dthelp utilities which are causing a ripple effect
through the tree.  I will add the same workarounds to their Imakefiles
today (Sunday).

If this mail reaches releng (or if someone can reach them) today, then
please schedule a ptcde build in the normal time after midnight tonight
to give me time to submit these workarounds. If not, then we'll wait
till Monday.
