365.0. "Index oddities" by MARVIN::RSCOTT () Tue Jul 31 1990 09:17

    I've been checking an index on the Bookreader. I've noticed a
    couple of oddities in the subwindow that opens when there are
    a number of references associated with an entry or subentry.

    First oddity, sometimes the heading banner across the top of the
    subwindow contains double quotation marks ("") instead of
    the entry info. to which the subwindow applies.

    Second oddity, still in the subwindow, sometimes the final
    reference is inaccessible off the bottom of the subwindow.
    The tops of the letters are just visible but the reference
    cannot be selected. Using the scroll bar has no effect.

    Can anybody explain or point me to a previous note?

    Thanks,

    Richard

    We'll look into the first one and the second one is a Bookreader bug
    that has been reported. If you resize the subwindow the last entry will
    be accessible.

    What version of Bookreader are you using? Can you give me a pointer
    to a book that does this? (And the specific extry or entries.) What
    version of VAX DOCUMENT are you using (if this is a book you have
    built)?

    Thanks,

365.3What's the resolution for this problem?DISORG::JALBERTTue Dec 11 1990 13:5617
Hi Mary,

I am having this same problem. I'm not sure if anything got resolved on this
issue so I will provide you with a pointer to where you can copy a book
that does this. We are using V1.2B of VAX DOCUMENT. You can copy the file
AA-JM33D-TE.DECW$BOOK from REORG::USER2:[JALBERT.BOOK]. Look at index entry

Dynamic SQL
  FETCH statement

If this has been resolved, can you let me know what the solution is? I didn't
have time to look through this notes file until today, so I let the book
go out on the CDROM with this problem. If you need any more info let me know.

Thanks!

Sally
