It has been some time since an update to this case. I don't
know about anyone else but I would like to know the outcome.

Has he been sentenced or cleared? Do you mean that the
court system of Connecticutt is so small minded that they
don't investigate fully when charges like these are made?

Please let us know how Hoa mad out.

Thanks,

Pat

The judge has delayed the sentence day to April 2, because he want to interview Hoa
and review his past life history. Hoa has a clean record, only one speeding ticket.

With family help, we now have $15,000 in gifts for the appeal (about two years to get to court).
Please pray that Hoa would get a lenient sentence on April 2, and that the judge
would reduce the bail amount. If we could not bail him out, my sister would
have to go bankruptcy.

Hoa is doing fine in prison, he wants to thanks everyone that pray for him and his wife.
He has more time to read the bible now, and able to quit smoking (he wanted to quit long ago,
but never could).

I'll give an update on April 2.

The prosecute wanted 30 years, but the Judge was merciful and gave Hoa 17 years
jail sentence with possible parole in 6 years. For good behavior, he could get
out in 4.5 years. Thank-you everyone for praying.

What would God want Hoa to learn from an unjust sentence?

I hope and pray that Hoa gets the opportunity to appeal and clear his name
very quickly.

    Good question Nancy!

To learn to love those who unjustly persecute you! Now thats
    a challenge!

It is not me so it is hard to say but I hope he can learn from the
account of Joseph and keep a cheerful outlook.

I was expressing to someone recently that I finally "got it", for years
I've asked why did so many unseemly things happen to me in my life.
Things that were unjust, yet I bore the consequences of this injustice.
And the "getting it" was very simple, the Lord loved me enough to do
whatever it took to get me to KNOW Him... and I'm not just speaking
salvation though that was part of it... but an awareness of really
understanding who God is... And this is continual process until the
day we die. How I know Jesus today will not be compared to how I will
know Jesus 10 years from now, and if I abide in the vine, I will
    continue to grow.

I believe if this was an injustice to Hoa, that God's reason lies in a
simple answer of what is it the God is teaching Hoa about Himself.

Suffering is a blessing. I realize that this is a paradox not every
person can embrace about our Lord's plan for our lives, but He will
reveal it to our hearts in His time and His manner.

    Love in Him,
    Nancy
