383.0. "Training needed !!!!" by COLISA::PELIKAN (hating quick and dirty) Fri Nov 16 1990 09:01

    Hi all,

in next future we run a lot of business apllications which 'play'
with focus ( correct MRE plays with focus ), and I have to
support these (internal-)products, so I'm looking for FOCUS-training.

The local EDU (in germany) don't offer any kind of course, and
couldn't give me any dates about courses outside germany.

Favorite courses for my use are:

    - Focus for beginners
    - Inst., config. and admin.

    The questions:

    Are there different courses ?
Where and what dates the course(s) held ?
    How to contact ?

    Any information is welcome !

    Kind regards

As Far as I'm aware, Heinz, there is FOCUS end-user Training
in the UK, Course # EY-9711E-LO (Basic FOCUS), and
EY-D759E-LO (Focus - Advanced Reporting.

In addition, we have OFMR Workshops (for those using OFMR.. Mainly
Data workshop, but some "How to write clever reports")

That's about it.. In the UK.. They're 2 or 2.5 day courses.
No System management or Tuning..

Contact 7-830-8020 for more info.. I think they're delivered on demand.

Are there any courses in FOCUS reporting anymore? The group I'm in
does all their reporting in FOCUS and I need some training in it
so that I'm not spending a week on a small fix or new report. I did not
see anything in the course guide.

    What's the scoop?
