Has anybody used National Wedding Photo Services ?

    hear the "facts".

    Thanks

    	Hi Harvey

    	National who?

My other half and myself do weddings etc, at a very reasonable
    	price, I might add.

If you're interested give us a phone on 0256 472240 anytime...
as I am around during the day this week.

751.2Some good advice......LARVAE::BOOKINGSFri Apr 29 1994 20:1727
    Harvey,

As the better half of a *professional* photographer, a few pointers to
    getting a good photographer...
    1. Ask for qualifications or proof of accredited membership to a
professional body (ignore letters before the title if they are M or L ,
eg LBIPP or MBIPP- these are basic levels of membership- go for
    Associate or higher)
    2. All professionals have to carry insurance.
    3. Avoid part-timers with a 35mm- there is absolutely no comeback if
things go wrong- plus anyone who is that good is able to make a
full-time living from it. Plus you'll find that pros dont even USE a
35mm, its for snaps not quality stuff.
    4. Have a good look at the prices.. and make sure you know exactly what
youre going to get and ask to see samples of work done and references.
    5. Give these people a miss if theyre canvassing- word of mouth is far
better- again, good photographers rarely have to advertise let alone
    canvass.

    Hope this helps
