117.0. "Is the product still for sale in the US?" by TYSON::HORTON (Bill Horton) Fri Feb 11 1994 03:16

  Is this product still available in the USA? We were advised by CSS that
  we should recommend the the similar product from AEON.

				Thanks

Bill,

Long time no hear!

I can't speak for CSS nor for VAXELN Engineering, who now supports the KAV30 as
a target in the VAXELN toolkit. However, we still have numerous supported
VAXELN customers who are using the KAV30 as targets. While the VME300
provides some different features, it should be noted that the RPSU can only
support the VAXELN-specific portions of customer's applications using the
VME300. Otherwise, we have to refer them to AEON.

Regards,

Alan

    	....what ? I'm surprised, the KAV30 still is produced in quantities
    	and sold throughout the world, and we (DEC) make a lot of money
    	with it!

    	Can you give me more details, what the issue is and who gave you
    	this advice ? If you prefer to do this by mail, no problem, please
    	mail to :

    	gobang::lemmer  (Thomas Lemmer, project mgr.)
    	eicmfg::kettner (Erwin Kettner, product mgr.)

    	Thanks and best regards,

    	Thomas
