3886.0. "Whither CSLG?" by QUARK::LIONEL (Free advice is worth every cent) Fri May 19 1995 01:20

In response to questions from several customers, I asked our product
manager how CSLG (Campus Software License Grant) customers obtain
PAKs for products released in-between their annual PAK updates. She
responded that everyone she has contacted trying to get this
information says that any CSLG contacts they knew of had been TFSO'd -
therefore it appears that the program has no one in charge of it.

This is hardly surprising, but I hope it is really not true. Who, if
anyone, is in charge of the CSLG program?

CSLG in the US (at least) has been moved to MCS. Don't know who is in
    charge.

Evidence from within the last month suggests that Betsy Carroll
(NCMAIL::BCARROLL) is still working CSLG, and still posting updates
about the program to AKOCOA::SELLING_TO_EDU (KP7'll do ya).

3886.4Betsy Carroll is CSLG Program ManagerNOTAPC::ALLARDJoan AllardFri May 19 1995 13:569
Betsy Carroll is the CSLG Program Manager. Currently she is on
maternity leave. If you call the number listed on ELF, there is a
problem with that number. When I called, the main operator referred
me to Robert Esch, supposedly Betsy's manager. The number given was
    DTN: 252-7212.

    Good Luck.

Thanks - the SELLING_TO_EDU notesfile answered most of my questions. There
is an excellent "Q+A" in note 6 (I think).

The Software Loan Group is currently responsible for renewing CSLG
agreements. Customers can call 800-DIGITAL, press 2, press 9 to get to
the Loan group directly. A small group of reps are being proactive
with customers by calling them before their contracts expire.

    Hope that helps!

3886.8CSLG PROGRAM IS ALIVE AND WELL....NCMAIL::BCARROLLFri May 19 1995 20:4815
    Steve,

The CSLG program is alive and well. I am the manager of the program
and the program now falls under MCS.

My new business phone number is 203-929-2896 (home program) but as
Joan Allard indicated in a later note, I am on maternity leave until
mid-July. My manager Robert Esch @RCO is my back-up for general
questions. For detailed list of contacts in my absence, please
send mail to BETSY CARROLL @RCH. I have an auto-reply message
that provides many contacts and sources of information.

    Regards,
    betsy Carroll

Betsy,

Thanks for responding. I did get the answers to the questions I had from
your Q+A note and Darlene at the DECdirect technical support line.
