3660.0. "Need to bypass VTX Ir to get information?" by OSL09::OLAV (Do it in parallel!) Wed Feb 01 1995 13:44

I'm trying to get some mail some information back to me from VTX IR, but
it never arrives. Does anyone know how to get access to the information
directly from DCL? I guess it's a directory structure behind everything?

I never have problems getting mailings from VTX IR. It usually arrives before
I can exit VTX.

I don't think you can get at the files directly. Have you tried complaining to
SALES::FEEDBACK?

I got the ASCII version of a document back with no problem, but didn't get
back some of the more complete packages (with PowerPoint source etc.).

This is what I try to get:

    IR user help option has a document called "To copy files from IR"
    (Doc ID IR0008) which explains the filenaming structure of the
    underlying content.

    For example, to copy this document from VMS:

    $ COPY WWSMIR::IR$LIB:IR0008SC.TXT *
