> Who is todays VP of marketing?

There is no such person. For about 1 or two months prior to the creation
of the System Business units, Bud Enright had this title.

Today, each business unit has their own marketing function, which is
accountable to the business unit VP.

I wrote to BP in his VP days and did receive a response from his staff.
(I also received a response from the next 2 levels of my management)

RE: -1 and the original question ....

Bruce Ryan is VP of INDUSTRY marketing. Industry marketing's role is to
get industry applications/solutions to sell and train the sales
organization about the various industries we sell to directly.

If your issue is related to the marketing of products, then Enrico
Pesatori is the person you are looking for. He is VP of WW Sales and
    Marketing.

I too have wrote to BP. I wrote to him about the poor response from the
payroll department after a year of thinking about my idea that I
submitted. The response was electronic mail from CFO the next morning,
followed up by a couple of phone calls from lower level finance people
the next 2 weeks. That was over a year ago and I am still here. Just
state your issue with "FACTS" and see what happens. No whinning.

I'd like to echo .-1. All the times I have contacted senior
management with an issue the response has been immediate and
thorough. And I have never been punished for doing it, on the
        contrary!

Re. 12/13

I have sent information that I thought would help Mr. Palmer in these tough
times. I only sent good information. I always got a response, sometimes within
a day or two, sometimes it took a couple of weeks, but I always got a response
and thanks for taking the time to input the data that I sent to him.

    >...I always got a response and thanks for taking the time...

On the two occassions I have sent mail to senior VPs (a territory CEO
and BP respectively) there has been no response at all.

Same here -- no reply, even when I sent letters to make them aware of
serious operational problems. I've given up.
3055.17You HAVE to be contructive and understandingASABET::ANKERAnker Berg-SonneThu May 26 1994 13:1611
        .15 and .16

You have to write your letters in a contructive, understanding
mood. Believe it or not, our senior manager get depressed just
as easily as we do, and nothing is as depressing as a note wrtten
in a complaining, whining, accusatory, non-contructive style.

I'll be happy to reveiw both of your notes in private if you'd
        like me to.
