2793.0. "Steve Draper - Sad news" by SUBURB::DUCEP (Slowly we change the world.....) Mon Nov 22 1993 15:24

It is with great regret and sadness that many of us learned
of the passing away of Steve Draper on Thursday of last week.

Steve was admitted to Hospital the week before last, as what
was seen as (relatively) normal operation for the removal of
a malignant tumour. He had been passed clear of any other
cancer and we all had high hopes of his recovery.

It was a complete shock on Monday to learn that Steve was not
going to recover consciousness from the operation. He was
returned to intensive care, and passed away on Thursday.

Steve had been with Digital for 20+ years and had made more
friends than he probably realised. His open discussion and
help in the NOTES file will be sorely missed, as will his
professional help, his friendship and most of all his
    particular brand of humour.

Anyone interested in sending any messages can reply to this
note or alternatively mail Peter Duce @REO, Steve Emery @REO
    or Ian Royall @IME.

I will post a further note with the date, time and location
of the funeral and the family wishes for flowers/donations.
