2771.0. "Support and Novell" by POCUS::RICCIARDI (Be a graceful Parvenu...) Wed Nov 10 1993 12:31

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I'm trying to defined our relationship with Novell and document how many
CNEs we have by geography (America's, Pac Rim, Europe).

I've called a couple of places, but the numbers are not as high as
    we've traditionally said.

    Regards

MCS is in the final stages of of a skills invintory that would supply
the information you requested. I have seen a memo that indicated
the number of people certified in the different areas.

Gary Blew and Gary Blendinger played a big part in this. They could
possibly stear you in the right direction or to the right person.

There's a CNE list in the RANGER::NETWARE conference (but I know it is
not complete, because several people I know that are CNE's are not on
the list).

Anyway, that list has a couple hundred names listed.

Digital's Learning Services(DLS) is one of the largest producer's of
CNE's for the Novell/Digital market. For the past three quarters, DLS
has been building the Open Learning Network with Novell, Microsoft,
Oracle, SCO,etc. certification programs as the backbone. Many Digital
employees have been or are being trained to support their products via
industry valued certification programs. The CNE certification program
is an example of the offerables available through DLS. More information
on this and/or other similar programs may be obtained through student
    registration DTN 264-7000.

Lastly, an inventory of employees who have been certified(CNE's) can be
developed if there is a compelling business reason to do so.
