2358.0. "Documentation available" by STAR::BOUCHARD (The enemy is wise) Fri Feb 05 1993 19:19

    This is perhaps not the correct conference for this, but...

    A number of folks in my organization are moving offices, and this is
    resulting in people realizing that they no longer need certain document
    sets. Rather than see this material be wasted, I wonder if any other
    Digital people might make use of this material.

    We've got full VMS V5.latest documentation sets, DECwindows programming
    sets, MicroVAX II and VS/2000 Hardware information, and lots of misc.

    If anybody would like any of the material listed above, or would like
    to list specific items I should watch for, I'd be happy to try and get
    some of this material into hands that can use it.

    CAPNET::DELTA_SWAPSHOP is set up for ridding oneself of uneeded
    items or for requesting needed items that someone might not need
    anymore. Sort of an on-line yardsale. Might be worth a shot to
    drop this message in there and see what happens.

2358.2I need - a lot of - documentationGVPROD::BOERSRobert Boers, CECs and Eastern EuropeThu Feb 11 1993 06:3525

    I am very interested in the material mentioned in .0

    Jointly with the Russian subsidiary, several engineering
    groups and the European Services organisation, I am developing
    a plan to establish a Digital software center in Moscow
    (a 2-3 year project).

    As a first step, we provide the major technical schools in the
    Moscow area with excess inventory VAX equipment to get started;
    we will also provide a Digital computer center with more modern
    equipment and a LAN to each participating institute (They have
    nothing to start with...)

    We work on a small budget (who isn't these days) and we need a
    lot of VAX, VMS (V 5.0 upwards) and Ultrix documentation for the
    10,000+ students we are reaching. We have a distribution center
    for this at Moscow Aviation institute and excemption of import duty.

    Please mail me if you have significant quantities (20+ manuals);
    we have a budget for shipping (by the way, user docs do not need
    an individual export license). I am also very interested in (thickwire)
    ethernet cable, H4005's and written off terminal servers, 3100's etc.

    Thanks, Robert Boers
