893.0. "Discounts at Disneyland - info wanted" by SNOC01::NICHOLLS (My answer?:How many 'f's in 'idea'?) Mon Aug 14 1989 23:44

    I am the president of the Digital Social Club in Sydney, Australia.
    An employee has heard that DEC has employee discounts to Disneyland.
    Something about a Magic Kingdom Club was mentioned.

    Could some helpful person in the US please give me a contact name
    where I can find out more about this?

    Thanks

    A summary of what a Magic Kingdom Club Card entitles you to:

    Disneyland Passport (One day's admission and unlimited use of
    Disneyland adventures and attractions (except Arcades):
    $21.50 for adults and $16.50 for kids 3-12 years old.
    This represents a savings of $2.00 off the general public's
    price.

    Members save $4 off a 2-day passport and $5 off a 3-day passport.
    On the third day you can also use your pass at Queen Mary &
    Spruce Goose attractions in Long Beach.

    The Magic Kingdom Club also provides discounts at Walt Disney
    World in Florida, Hilton Hotels, National Car Rental, Delta
    Air Lines, and the new Disney Stores across America. There
    are also complete vacation plans you can purchase.

    If you stop at a Digital personnel office in California or
    Florida, you should be able to pick up a Magic Kingdom Club card
    and the 1989 Membership Guide.

    You can write to the Magic Kingdom Club Travel Center at
    P.O. Box 4180; Anaheim, CA 92803-4180. The phone number
    is (714) 520-5000.  In the East, the address is P.O. Box 10,160;
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0160. The phone number there is
    (407) 824-2600.

893.7East Coast Info..INXCES::CANSLERThu Aug 17 1989 12:2812

    PLEASE BE-WARE, when getting information about Disneyland from the
    east coast; I am located on the east Coast and when making a trip
    to Disneyland I requested information for Disneyland from the Mill
    site and all I got was information about DisneyWorld in Florida
    and activities around such. I then got on the phone and call the
    Dec office in L.A and they sent me all types of info on the Area
    (places to stay and sights to see). There is a big difference
    in Disneyland and DisneyWorld.

893.8Better Discounts Can Be Had.DIEGO::DECF_11Tue Aug 29 1989 20:4914
    I just finished a two week training period in Irvine (LA area).
    I got the discount cards for Disney, Queen Mary, Knotts Berry Farm,
    etc. but I found that if I checked in the local hotel there were
    promotional discount advertisements that gave a BETTER discount.
    I.E. For the Quenn Mary the discount card that I got from the DEC
    program gave a 10% discount (about $1.90 per person). The coupon
    that I got in the hotel gave a $3.00 per person (up to 10 per coupon).

    Also, some of the attractions have discount coupons for other
    attractions on their information brochure that you get when you
    enter the first. I.E. Knotts Berry Farm had coupon for Sea World
    and San Diego Zoo.
