479.0. "New DEC plant in Maynard" by ANGORA::MORRISON (Bob M. LMO2/P41 296-5357) Mon Feb 29 1988 20:19

  Last week I read in the paper that a new DEC plant is going up in Maynard.
Today I read it in this conference. Where will the plant be? How large will
it be?
  A few years ago K.O. said DEC wouldn't build any new plants in Maynard be-
cause "the roads can't handle the traffic". A few downtown streets have been
rebuilt but the traffic problem hasn't gone away.

    I believe that the new facility is planned to be built behind the
    MSO facility on Powdermill Road. The town is somewhat upset about
    this due to the additional traffic load that would be put onto Rt.
    62.

    FWIW - The local paper also had an article stating the Digital is
    planning a new 208,000 sq ft facility in Stow.
479.2DEC leases another buildingJACOB::FAZIOThu Mar 03 1988 21:262
DEC also just signed a lease for the old Data Terminals building. Several
    Engineering support groups are slated to move there from the Mill.
479.3new building in StowNSSG::PLOUFFWed Apr 06 1988 20:497
    DEC has plans to build a new building in Stow on route 117, about
    1/2 mile east of the current OGO building. I believe it will house
    a "corporate systems center" managed by Product Marketing.
    Construction has been delayed, though, and is not expected to resume
    during this year.
