61.0. "*SAVE* Switzerland's Reputation" by EIGER::WOOG () Fri Oct 25 1985 06:24

Curious as to the content of this file, I have been browsing thru it
for the last 20 minutes and am quite *shocked * at the bad image and
reputation the Geneva Branch office (and Switzerland as a country)
got itself here (with much help from Norbert Cassellini).

I have no time to read each entry and reply, and I most probably won't be
accessing this file again (not that I disapprove, just not enough time),
but I DO wish to defend Switzerland.

I have worked in the Geneva Branch office for 4 years, before transferring
to Zurich a year ago. Norbert Cassellini's boss hired me. He is one of the
best bosses I have ever worked for.

DEC Switzerland is no worse (or better) than the average DEC branch office
worldwide. Contrary to Norbert's statements, we DO have an ODP in Switzerland,
right up to the Country manager, who is a *great* person.

NO, I'm not in a dream. I've been with DEC too long for such fantasies to
have survived !

I'm not saying we don't have problems .... we do. But in my opinion, they
are just the "healthy, typical DEC problems" that give life SPICE  ;-}

Some of you may wonder why Norbert has been silent recently.....?
He left DEC some months ago.

_Alexandra

I assume you meant "SAFE Switzerland's...". I thought les Suisses were
only known for:

	o BANKS
	o Cheese (with funny holes)
	o Chocolate
	o and NESTLE

but computers... A well known Swiss psychologist (lady from Geneva) who once
referred to the Helvetic Retardation Effect; "...what happens today in
Switzerland has already happened elsewhere in the world 25 years ago".

...and what about the Matterhorn? Haven't you ever been to Disneyland?
