plan to be put on hold until further notice.

plan is that the UK will be receiving 20 modules per month for 12
months. Status will then be checked to see if further kits need
shipping.

system interconnect cables. Electrical shorts and opens develop
in the cables, due to bad welds and improper wire gage, used
by the vendor. The cables include all SCAN cables, JXDI Buss
cables, Clock control cables and high speed data (SJI interfac)
cables in the 9000 family systems. All 9000 family systems
identified to have AMP and early production Woven cables will
be retrofitted with cables manufactured by Woven Electronics,
with solid gray connectors.
This "O" coded FCO should be installed on all VAX 9000-2XX and
4XX systems and spares shipped before 1st of April.
The -01,02,03 are for customer systems and material is still
available. The 04,05,06 are for spare sets at the Logistic
Branches, these should have all been completed.

1987. Now another problem, in the shape of the CIXCD has come

plan is that the UK will be receiving 20 modules per month for 12
months. Status will then be checked to see if further kits need
shipping.

Early 9000 production systems were built using low reliability
system interconnect cables. Electrical shorts and opens develop
in the cables, due to bad welds and improper wire gage, used
by the vendor. The cables include all SCAN cables, JXDI Buss
cables, Clock control cables and high speed data (SJI interfac)
cables in the 9000 family systems. All 9000 family systems
identified to have AMP and early production Woven cables will
be retrofitted with cables manufactured by Woven Electronics,
with solid gray connectors.
This "O" coded FCO should be installed on all VAX 9000-2XX and
4XX systems and spares shipped before 1st of April.
The -01,02,03 are for customer systems and material is still
available. The 04,05,06 are for spare sets at the Logistic
Branches, these should have all been completed.

Previous revisions of the XJA have a contention problem
with Internal register reads and XMI space reads. This
contention under the ULTRIX operation system would cause
the system to HANG during boot. The VMS SYSGEN utility
SHOW/XMI command would cause the system to KAF or HANG
under heavy I/O loads.

incorrect fuses may be used on the 9000-210,110. Please refer

A change in the scheduler in the ROM has been made to service
character echos at a faster time.
DEFZA-F001 corrects several problems with the DEFZA-AA FDDI to
Turbo Channel Adapters below revision level "C02". These modules
are found in the DecStation 5000 models 200, 100, 240 and 20/25.
TA81-F002 corrects intermittent position lost or serious excep-
tion errors while running BACKUP. Replaces microcode (3 ROMS)
on the STI module. Dave Hessom is in the process of collecting
populations from Service Centre Managers.
