Can someone tell me what, if any, relationship there is between OSF DME
    and the NMF.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mark,

This question has a few different dimensions:
    	- is there any relationship between OSF (the organisation) and
NMF (the organisation). I am unaware that one org is a member
of the other - however, OSF has organised two "telecommunications
forum"s at which the NMF has been invited to attend and present.
    	- is there any relationship between the DME (design and
implementation) and the NMF OMNIpoint specifications. At our
request, the DME architecture team has made an effort to
standardise on the same ISPs as NMF is referencing, so that when
the DME ships support for OSI CMIP (which initially will only run
over TCP!) it will be aligned with the 'appropriate' network
    	  management profiles (ie. AOMxxx)

Does one of these address your question?

    Colin

Late news - this just in.....

(from a document circulated at the recent OSF Management SIG meeting)
    ----------------------------------------
What is OSF's relationship to NMF and the OMNIPoint project?

OSF is a member of the NMF Roadmap executive council, and we are
contributing to the development of OMNIPoints as a member of that
    	council.

NMF is defining network management objects and ensembles, groups
of objects that work together to perform specific tasks. OSF is
defining system management objects and working with NMF to share
those definitions and assist in NMF's efforts.
