3692.0. "V1.1 x25 line statistic failure?" by ZUR01::SCHNEIDERR () Fri Sep 04 1992 15:26

Hello,

We see in line statistics of a x25 line a lot of "CoCOUNT OF REMOTE REPLY
TIMEOUTS". If we do a show counter at the begin and the end of the statistic
scope of interest time, We see not so much errors.

Example:

>>> show node4 ... line x25-o all count

Counter from 19:00:00	Remote Reply Timeout = 10

Counter from 19:30:00	Remote Reply Timeout = 15

>>> show node4 ... line x25-o all statistics

Counter from 19:30:00	Count of Remote Reply Timeouts = 251
			Error Percent = 44.27

We see this very often. It seems, that statistic counts not the difference from
begin to the end of the scope of interest, it counts 256-difference.

We run alarms on error statistics, this are fired lot to much. Is this a known
bug?

Hello,

I found in the Release notes on page 2-15 under restrictions for the Phase IV AM:

"There is no X25 module support in the Decnet Phase VIV Access Module"

Does this mean that no X25 at all is supported (so no X25 lines and no X25 DLM
circuits) or does it mean that only X25 SW modules (module X25-protocoll,
X25-access, X25-server) is not supported?

	Only X25 software => you need to use NCP set mod x25-dte ....

	DLM are supported .
	Regards .
