3585.0. "Combining autotopology and autoconfiguration maps" by CADSYS::LEMONS (And we thank you for your support.) Tue Aug 18 1992 19:10

I've used the LAN Autotopology applications to create maps of our bridges and
FDDI stations. I'd like to perform DECnet and IP autoconfigurations, and lay
the systems found onto the same maps.

How can I do this?

Thanks!

I'm afraid you can't do this (short of doing it manually). There's no
general-purpose 'domain merge' capability.

Once you've done up your IP and DECnet maps (via auto-topology), you could
plunk down icons for the domains containing the discovered clusters, DECnet
areas, or IP domains... Then when you 'clicked into' them, you'd come up with
the appropriate auto-topology-generated map for that domain...

If you start to think about it, getting a single 'multi-protocol view' of a
network (even a small one) is a pretty complicated, multi-step process. So it
could be done, but it just hasn't been done, yet...
