Work is being done to create a clearinghouse, similar to the toolshed on METOO::, execpt that it will relate to Network and System Management. A great deal of work has been done by people all over the company, and we would like to provide a central repository and archive for that work, as well as a central point to obtain information about various efforts and products that are available. The goal is to include information related to tools in several categories: Tools (Standalone programs, command scripts, etc.) Hints (Guidelines, Pitfalls to avoid, etc.) Icons MIBs Launched Applications (MCC out MSU) Management Modules (MCC AMs) Common Agent MOMs Application Notes (How to's, Interconnection with other products, Applications Guides) Other Management Agents and Other (A general catch all) If you know about tools, MM, etc. Please fill out the form in the reply and mail it to TOOK::LYONS or TOOK::MCPHERSON

How about a category for examples as well? Examples are tools which are not useful (I can think of a few DEC products which probably qualify!). For example, I have an example of calling MCC to retrieve a counter from a Phase V node and printing it. As it stands it is pointless but it may help someone else who is trying to work out how to get a particular MCC call to work. Graham | |||||
