TeMIP is approaching field test trials for V1.0a which begin in 8/92.
The DECmcc platform is required to be run on Ultrix 4.2. A demo of this
is available on a DS5000 in Atlanta. The demo illustrates OSI compliant
Alarm Handling, Event logging and Trouble Ticketing with a MOTIF gui.
Documentation and training is ready. For more info, contact me.
Good luck,

re: -.0
I think you need to distinguish between the TeMIP demo and the TeMIP
product.
The TeMIP demo shown at DECworld requires DECmcc EFT (T1.2.4) and will
not be updated to DECmcc V1.2 SSB. A new version of the demo using the
TeMIP product will be available some time after TeMIP is in Field Test.
TeMIP V1.0-A (product) has started pre-FT with 1 customer since end of
April 92. The External FT is planned for mid-August 92. TeMIP V1.0-A EFT
will require Ultrix V4.2 or V4.2A, Motif R1.1.3, DECmcc BMS V1.2 SSB.
As Jim said, there is already documentation available and the FT
training is planned for July 27.
For additional info or questions, you can consult the TeMIP notefile :

Marc.

| Thanks. I needed to know about both the demo and product. My manager
was contemplating sending someone to see the demo in Atlanta, but has
since found out about the training at the end of July. We are looking
into whether we can use (and save ourselves some coding) it for the
project I am on. Looks pretty good, but I needed to find out more
about it - notesfile pointer and your names are very helpful. I will
direct my questions to the proper notesfile re: TeMIP.
May be in touch after I look at the notesfile and get more info from
there.
Thanks again.
