3222.0. "Targeting not working" by MEO78B::FINCH () Mon Jun 22 1992 07:11

I am having a problem getting Targeting going.
I have managed to target a rule ok but have not succeeded with a notify
    event.
The following extract is an example of my problem. The same happens
when I assign a target from the iconic map. Ie I assign it, but I can't
display it, then if I try to assign it again it says that " a matching
    entry already exists"

    dire target domain tooronga

    !No matching targeting entry found.
    !
    assign target domain tooronga -
    event source = node4 * circuit * adjacent node * , -
    event name = "adjacency down",-
    managed object ="node4 * circuit * adjacent node #1",-
    target entity ="node4 #1",-
    target severity = warning

Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong ?
    Thanks,
    Jill

Thanks for the input. We found a problem a few weeks ago in the
assign target command when trying to assign a target for any entity
with more than 1 child entity (in your case there are two children).
Sorry for the inconveneice but this has been fixed in the SSB release.
