3220.0. "notification corrupted?" by CSC32::M_EVANS (but are you sure?) Fri Jun 19 1992 22:29

    Hi,

I have a customer with a problem entering two of her many domains.

    this started this morning.

She has attempted a reboot with no positive results.

When she enters one she gets the error message "notification structures
corrupted, disable notification. When she disables notification her
entire map is completely rearranged and her lines are all over the
place. She is having no problems with the rest of her domains.

Any idea of what could be causing this, or a possible fix?

One of the notification developers will have to answer this, but
I'm sure they will need to know which version of DECmcc, and which
O/S you are using.

    Hi,

Her verion of MCC is 1.1 and VMS 5.4-3

this is definitely attached to her enabling alarms notification. If
she disables alarms rules and goes into the doemain, then everything is
fine. At this point whe is deleting and recreating her alarms rules,
to see if this will help.

Hi,

We, Meg and I found the answer to the customers problem in note 929.*.
Had the customer try the recommended workaround of adding dummy dynamic
domains to the parent s of the failing domains and it worked great.
