| Hi there,
Well, the procedure that I got from D_BALL, fixed the privilege
violation, but I'm still not seeing the MCC_DNA_EVL process. The sinks
are ok though... I also uncommented out the COLLECTION AM sinking from
the MCC_STARTUP_BMS.COM file. I have an additional question regarding
the sinking, what's the difference???
When would I use the COLLECTION AM and NOT the *other* sinking?
And regarding ALARMS, what do most folks do with setting up Event
Logging Sinks? Do they setup sinks to EVERY node they want to do
remote alarming on or what? This seems like alot of overhead...per
usual, I'm confused...smile. Thanks.
/Mic

| The collection AM sink is used to receive messages explicitely
sent by the DECmcc data collector. It does not handle DECnet
events (nor, for that matter, SNMP traps).
The DNA4 event sink receives DECnet events, generated by DECnet
phase IV systems.
