3135.0. "%MCC-E-FULLNAME_ERROR, error in Full Name value " by HANNAH::B_COBB () Fri Jun 05 1992 11:03

    Just now that I got MCC working the way I want it, it stops working
    totally. I quit my last MCC session and tried to start another one
    later. I get the folowing error:

    $ manage/ent/inter=decw

     error in Full Name value
    %MCC-E-FULLNAME_ERROR, error in Full Name value

    The messages manual gives no clue to a solution but does say this
    message comes from the FCL PM.

    What course of action do I take to find out what is causing this?

    VMS 5.4-3, BMS T1.2.7/ELMS 1.2.7/TSAM 1.2.7 using DNS

    Thanks

    I do not have an account on the QAR SYSTEM to look at the specifics
    on this problem, but is there a workaround? I mean I cannot do
    ANYTHING now. Can anyone post the specifics of this problem?

    Thanks

Answer for QAR #03115:

Upon investigation it was found that the DNS CLERK had accviod.
The parse routine MCC_PAR_ENTITY() (or something it calls) returns
"error in fullname" status under this condition. The iconic map
does not expect this since it is passing a "syntactically correct"
fullname across to the routine. The routine should return a more
appropriate error message.
