3118.0. "RAD bridges and DECmcc" by SIOG::PARKS () Tue Jun 02 1992 15:22

A customer wants to use DECmcc to manage RAD bridges. There are two bridge MIB
files being shipped with V1.2, bridge_std_mibdef and bridge_exp_mibdef. Are
these MIB files for DEC bridges or could they be used for RAD ? If the above
files are DEC specific, what DEC products do they apply to ?

	Not sure what a RAD bridge is but the customer should really ask
	the RAD people these questions.

    	bridge_std_mibdef is the standard bridge MIB and if the SNMP agent
	on the RAD bridge has been written to the standard you should be
	able to manage it from any SNMP director that has this MIB enrolled.

	bridge_exp_mibdef is an extension to the above MIB developed by
	DEC for the purpose of managing the DECbridges (10/100).

	They apply to all the DECbridges (10/100). I'm not sure if an
	SNMP agent has been written for any of the LAN bridges.
