3040.0. "SNMP T1.2.7 and the Exporter FM" by ANNECY::BONNIER (Jean-Luc ... EIC/T&N Annecy France) Wed May 20 1992 15:40

I am running VMS 5.5 and MCC T1.2.7 with the Exporter FM.

We had some data analysis routines for SNMP entities running on T1.2.4
and I was surprised to see that the following attributes are no longer exported:
for MCC_SNMP table:
	in_packets,
	out_packets,
	in_error_packet_rate,
	out_error_packet_rate
for MCC_SNMP_INTERFACE table:
	in_packets,
	out_packets,
	in_error_packet_percent,
	out_error_packet_percent

This is not documented in the Release Notes ??

I assume the SNMP AM T1.2.7 has changed its attributes, doesn't it ?
The SNMP Rdb tables are completely different now.

We use also NODE4, NODE, BRIDGE, TERMINAL_SERVER entities.
Is it (or will be with V1.2) also true with them ?

Thanks for your reply.

	You are right.
In T1.2.7 there is no SNMP attribute "in packets". A new name is
"Inbound Packets".

Exporter FM construct a column name from an attribute presentation
name so every time when an attribute name is changed a new column
name will be used.

BTW, you can not use the same RDB file after an attribute presentation name
is changed or a new attribute is added.
