2562.0. "Creating cir under line mode "not seen on MAP" " by SEDSWS::MALLOY () Fri Mar 13 1992 14:50

Creating circuit under presentation mode form.
    ==============================================
I try to create circuit dummy ,in domain gary.
"create circuit dummy ,in domain gary"
The command was taken and then I did
"Show circuit dummy ,in domain gary"
    The entity was there.

I entered the Iconic map and viewed domain gary.
I was expected a message saying that objects
have be autoplaced in the map.

    Nothing !!!
    Is this correct?
I thought any action like creating or deleting objects under
the Iconic map could be done under line mode or form mode.

If I can not created Circuit under line mode then, installing
100 circuit is going great fun under the iconic map.

No, this is not correct behavior. You should be able to do what
you are trying to do.

QAR # 2486 in mcc_internal.

The "in domain qualifier", is not supported in this way.
However, you can accomplish the desired results in the
    following manner :

    MCC> create circuit dummy
MCC> create domain gary member dummy

When you invoke the iconic map and open domain gary, you should find
    all of your circuit icons.

Thanks

I have check the documentation and Karyn is right.
But the form interface should complained that the
"in domain" qualifier is incorrect.

Thanks again for your quick response

Actually the PM has no knowledge as to which entities/commands
do and do not support any of the qualifiers. We always pass the
qualifiers down and allow the MM to do the validation. In this
case the MM decided to ignore the in domain and
allow the command to complete successfully.

There have been discussions in the past of extending the MCC
registration process to allow xMs to inform the PMs as to what
qualifiers are supported. If this change makes it into the V2.0
kit then the PMs will be able to do just what you are asking.

Thanks for the suggestion and keep up the input, it helps us in
prioritizing what needs to be done and what is viewed by the users as
    problems in the system.
