| CMOL is CMIP over some ?? transport. It is something being pushed by
IBM, Apple, and 3COM to replace the now defunct CMOT. I can't remember
the details of what the transport level is? The OSF and Internet
community is pushing RFC 1006 CMIP which will be supported via OSAK
by DEC. In other words it will be possible for any DEC proposed
CMIP layer to use OSAK to get an RFC CMIP implementation.
I would suggest getting details from the customer on the exact
layering.
If you are going to propose a project implementation, assume that
DECmcc will give you a CMIP layer and you can interface it to
whatever is required for the lower stack elements.
