2024.0. "ex" by BAGELS::BANERJEE () Fri Jan 03 1992 18:33

I installed the MCC 1.2 successfully.
    Ran the IVP. It ran successfully.
    Invoked MCC from FCL. That started to work.

    But when I was trying it thru the Iconic Map(Decwindow), I had the
    following error MSG:

    What am I doing wrong? Any file missing?

    Thanks

2024.1Maybe SET DISPLAY will help?TOOK::FIGWERUlla Figwer LKG2-2/T2 x226-7858Fri Jan 03 1992 19:1818

    Could it be that you were set host from your workstation to a
    remote node?

    In order to run a decwindows application on a remote node and
    display the output on your local workstation, you need to
    execute the following command on the remote node, before
    executing the command to run the application:

    $ SET DISPLAY/CREATE/NODE=<your node name>

    Try that before invoking MCC.

    Hope this helps. I've only seen the same error in cases where I have
    not set the display.

2024.2One more thing...TOOK::FIGWERUlla Figwer LKG2-2/T2 x226-7858Fri Jan 03 1992 19:4510

    Almost forgot...

    Setting the display as in .1 will only work if the account on the
    remote node is authorized to access your workstation display.

    You can give authorization by choosing the Security menu item
    from the Customize menu from the Session Manager.
