I have to install DECmcc-BMS and ELM modules on a
VAXstation 4000 at customer site.
The main purpose is to manage DECbriges 620 (FDDI) and
the Hardware/Software installation is forcasted for mid
January.
For what I understand from previous notes there is a problem
(alarming) running DECmcc-BMS V1.1 on VMS 5.5.
These problems will be fixed with BMS 1.2.
Questions:
1. Will it be a patch for BMS 1.1/VMS 5.5 available so that
we may perform the installation as scheduled.
2. If not, when will BMS 1.2 be available in order to
reschedule the installation(if there is no other
alternative).

The problem is that you will not be able to run your command procedures
when a rule fires or an exception occurs. All other alarming features
work fine. You will see entities get highlighted on your map, you can
notify a domain and see alarms that way aswell.
The patch should be done in about 2 weeks. You will see an
announcement in this conference when its done.
Yes the problem will be fixed in BMS 1.2, but I'm not sure when that
will be.
