1720.0. "MCC_DNA4_EVL Terminates after event 4.18" by HOO78C::DOOLAARD (Which way....) Fri Oct 25 1991 11:27

    Hi,

A customer of mine experienced the following problem with events:

As soon as a event 4.18 (Adjacency down) occurs the object MCC_DNA4_EVL
    disapears.

With the mcc_event_log defined to 1 this is what happens:

Network object MCC_DNA4_EVL is declared, Status = 52854793
Tracing error paths in Event Manager
Waiting for the event message from EVL.....
The connection with EVL is established.
** Unable to connect to NMCC **
Ready to read the next event message...
    Failed to enqueued Event Data:
%LIB-F-SECINTFAI, secondary interlock failure in queue
Event Put could not enqueue an Event:
%LIB-F-SECINTFAI, secondary interlock failure in queue
Error Deleting AHS in Event Put:
%MCC-E-INV_HANDLE_STAT, software error: invalid handle state
Failed to Put an Event due to...
%LIB-F-SECINTFAI, secondary interlock failure in queue
A fatal error occurred when sending event = 418 to MCC event manager!
    The EVL sink is terminated!
    EDQ_DEQW_SUBSCR_EVENT found alert termination request
%LIB-F-SECINTFAI, secondary interlock failure in queue
SYSTEM job terminated at 25-OCT-1991 13:48:27.41

    Any ideas ????

    RE .0:

Is this customer using a multi-processor machine? If so, has the patch
in note 1692.0 been tried? It simply increases the number of retries
before failure is declared (by more than the specified factor of 10).

I'm seeing the same error messages (invalid handle state). What was
the outcome of this?

 Thanks,
 Scott

we have now had this reported by a few sights. We are still looking
into it (from the best that we can tell, it doesn't happen in the v1.2
    kit).
