1538.0. "Questions arising from DECmcc Customer Seminar" by JAYJAY::KORNS () Fri Sep 20 1991 18:54

I have an account who attended one of the recent DECmcc Installation seminars
(the one in Dallas).

They were told "contact your local Sales rep" on a couple of things.

Well, they did (distributor bone connected to the volume rep bone, volume
rep bone connected to sales support bone ...) and here I am.

	1) they were told of a set of command files that might be
useful but were not on the kit (I assume meaning the DECmcc
kit). Are these somewhere on the network where I am supposed
	   to pull them?

	2) They are a Multinet/TGV and DECmcc TCP/IP AM (SNMP) module
user. They were pointed to the V1.1 field test release as
the version of TCP/IP AM to get one that works over Multinet.
What is status of TCP/IP AM V1.1? Am I supposed to be requesting
that they be an offical FT for TCP/IP AM or is there some
special program engineering has going to get V1.1 into customers
	   hands?

>	The TCP/IP SNMP AM V1.1 is ending FT as of now. It has been
demonstrated that it works with Multinet/TGV (see this
conference for more details). If they have bought the V1.0, we
can work with you to get them the V1.1 so that they don't have
to buy UCX (for V1.0) when they could use Multinet/TGV for
V1.1. I can get a kit to you for V1.1, but they have to have a
	licence from v1.0.
