1508.0. "Command Procedures - Installation????" by DLO06::BUTTNER (T.C. Buttner - Gov. Sales Support) Mon Sep 16 1991 12:59

My customer just attended the free DECmcc training here in Dallas.
The instructor told them there were command procedures available to help do
the DECmcc installation that did not come with the kit. They were told to
contact the sales office - well here I am in the sales office looking for those
procedures - anyone know who/what and hopefully where I can get these?

    Hi,
Could they mean running "MCC_COMMON:MCC_DNS_SETUP.COM", which is a
menu driven procedure that has as one of its options, No 2., "Create a
command file to help register existing Phase IV nodes".

Using this function simplifies the task of adding the Phase IV nodes to
the DECdns namespace. The selection of this function creates a series
of command files that are used to add (register) Phase IV nodes to the
DECdns namespace. These files are created using the information in the
permanent remote node database file (sys$system:netnode_remote.dat),
residing on the DECdns server node. The command files are created with
the assumption that the nodes will be added under the .DNA_NODE
    directory.

This *setup.com procedure is available on the DECmcc BMS V1.1 kit I am
running. I trust this helps you.

    Dave.

	Tom,

I was the "instructor". The files listed below are the files
your customers are refering to. They already have the
instructions and sample "runs" of the files. If you want what
they have, copy and print the FULLINSTALL.PS document in the
same directory (fairly large doc, suggest printing two pages
per physical page on an LPS40).

Pls copy and get the following files to your customers (all of
your DECmcc customers would be ideal)
